About
The North Central area of San Antonio is located in northern Bexar County and encompasses many different neighborhoods and areas. This area is popular for it's location near the three largest and busiest highways in the city: Hwy 281, Loop 1604, and Loop 410. There are also many neighborhoods in this area that are close to IH-10 as well. Because getting to and from this area is fairly easy, many of the city's most popular and sought after zip codes are here.
Castle Hills, Hill Country Village, Dellview, and Hollywood park are small municipalities that are landlocked within the city of San Antonio and are part of the San Antonio CO-OP district.
Other neighborhoods within the area include upscale neighborhoods such as Elm Creek, Inwood, Rogers Ranch, Deerfield, Churchill Estates, Summerfield, Bentley Manor, Encino Park, and Cibolo Canyons.

Stone Oak/ Far North Side
Located off Loop 1604 and highway 281, a large portion of the far North side of San Antonio is Stone Oak. Among others, Stone Oak is recognized as one of San Antonio's most affluent areas. Known for it's gated communities, high security, and perfectly manicured medians, Stone Oak is a masterplanned community that includes neighborhoods such as Sonterra, Canyon Springs, Champions Ridge and Scenic Oaks. Within these neighborhoods are some of San Antonio's most luxurious homes, housing celebrities such as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Bruce Bowen, Joe Horn, Eva Longoria, Shawn Michaels, Tony Parker,Tim Duncan and Malik Rose.

Dining and shopping abound the North side of San Antonio. Among them, The Stone Oak area has many shopping centers that cater to the needs of the residents living within the area. In addition, there are multiple golf courses and country clubs within the Stone Oak area. Two of the most popular being Sonterra and Canyon Springs. In addition, North San Antonio is now home to The JW Marriot, a luxery resort, spa and golf course that also hosts PGA tours.
