Fort Sam Houston Independent School District is located on Fort Sam Houston, an Army installation located in the northeast section of San Antonio.   Fort Sam Houston carries a long, tradition-rich history which began after the Texas War for Independence.  FSHISD educates the children of active military personnel.  The district is coterminous with the Fort Sam Houston Installation, meaning it has the same boundaries as the installation.The District is comprised of three campuses – Fort Sam Houston Elementary, grades PK-5,Robert G. Cole Middle School, grades 6-8, and Robert G. Cole High School, grades 9-12. The student enrollment is approximately 1300.- courtesy of FSHISD.net
